Charlie Phelps, 70, of Eddyville, died Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2013, at 3:09 p.m. at his home, following a long illness.
Born Oct. 1, 1942, in Caldwell County, a son of the late James Glen Phelps and Sarah Elizabeth Boone Bradshaw, he was a retired barber.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Edward and Myrtle Boone; and a brother, Paul F. Phelps.
Survivors include his wife, Anna Lee Ray Phelps; a son, Mike Phelps of Caldwell County; two granddaughters, Carleigh Madison Phelps and Anna Elizabeth “Lolly” Phelps; a brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Oma Phelps of Lexington; a sister-in-law, Mary L. Phelps of Lexington; an uncle and aunt, J.E. and Claire Boone of Princeton; and several nieces and nep hews.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, Aug. 23, at 1 p.m. at Morgan’s Funeral Home in Princeton with the Rev. Mark Faughn and the Rev. Jeff Boone officiating.
Burial will follow in Fredonia Cemetery. (Fredonia, Ky.)
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
