Shirley Cantrell, 83, of Princeton, died Saturday, Dec. 14, 2013, at 8:31 a.m. at Caldwell Medical Center Emergency Room, following a long illness.
Born June 8, 1930, in Caldwell County, a daughter of the late Dowell Ray and Ruby Mae Underwood Farmer, she was a retired LPN with home health and a member of First Baptist Church in Princeton.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rudy Oscar Cantrell; and a son, Rudy Dowell Cantrell.
Survivors include a daughter, Carolyn Alise Cantrell of Hopkinsville; two grandchildren, Dowell Freeman and wife Emily of Princeton and Hope Perkins and husband Justin of Fredonia; three great-grandchildren, Caleb Perkins, Addi Perkins and Troy Freeman; and two brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles and Kay Farmer and Tom and Joyce Farmer, all of Princeton.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, Dec. 17, at 2 p.m. at Morgan’s Funeral Home in Princeton.
Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery. (Princeton, Ky.)
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
