Hobert L. Dalton, 86, of Fredonia (Crider Community), died Friday, April 18, 2014, at Princeton Health and Rehab in Princeton, following a short illness.
Born Dec. 8, 1927, in Caldwell County, a son of the late Clyde and Elvin Nelson Dalton, he was a member and Elder at Good Springs Cumberland Presbyterian Church, a World War II veteran, and was a retired highway equipment operator. He had worked for Illinois Central Gulf Railroad and for the Kentucky Department of Transportation
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Basil Dalton and John Dalton.
Survivors include his wife of 59 1/2 years, Jo Ann York Dalton; a son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Christy Dalton of Princeton; a grandson, Jordan and wife Rebekah Dalton of Dawson Springs; a stepgranddaughter, Nancy and husband Robert Allison; three great-grandchildren, Cheyenne Dalton, Isaac Dalton and Harrison Dalton; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, April 21, at 1 p.m. at Morgan’s Funeral Home in Princeton, with the Rev. Danny York officiating.
Burial, with military graveside services, will be in Bethlehem Cemetery.(Caldwell Co., Ky.)
Pallbearers are Trent Burton, Wes York, Josh York and Anthony Rowland.
