It appears as though the Surname is made up. My mother was told it was a French name. Other stories I have heard is that 4 brothers came to US and some altered the name.
There are several D'Yarmet or D'Armet (pronounced almost the same) in PA, OH & IN could be connected...or not?
Any help will be appreciated
