Allie Mac Pennington, Sr. (b. 25 APR 1898, Elliott Co., KY; m. Demaris Carter c. 1917; d. 12 MAR 1964, Boyd Co., KY) was my grandfather. Allie owned and operated a general store in the Ashland, KY area. I am the son of his daughter, Elizabeth Mae. Allie was the youngest son of Wm "Jason" Pennington (b. 1850 Lawrence Co., KY; d. aft 1920 Elliott Co., KY) and Deliah Moore Pennington. Jason was the son of William "Squire Billy" Pennington (b. 1822 Knox/Lawrence/Harlan? Co. KY, d. aft 1860 Lawrence Co., KY) and Caroline Elizabeth Gullett. This William was the son of James Washington Pennington (b. 1799 Lee Co., VA; d. aft 1850 Lawrence Co. KY) and Ellender Caudill. James W. was the son of William Pennington (b. 1764 NC; d. Webbville, 1844 Lawrence Co. KY) and Abigail Caudill. The parentage of this William Pennington is not known.
