In 1913, the land in question lies on the Old State Road and described as follows:

...a parcel of land lying in Carter County Kentucky in Old Olive Hill....a field known as the Orchard field lying on the right hand of the Old State road leading from Grayson to Olive Hill and lying opposite the old Dr. John H. Steele residence....3 acres....on the south by the old line of J. Garvin now by McCoy, on the west by the C. H. Scott old line, on the north by the county road, on the east by the Old State road to the beginning corner.
