I have the same family. Cordia was my grandmother. Cordia Ann Newman was born on February 2 1912 died Aug 18 1996; she married Jack Wilson who was the son of Moses and Lucy Dickerson Wilson of Carter County Precint 4. She was the daughter of Sam and Sarilda Newman. Sam died on June 21 1890 and married Sarilda about 1832. Sarilda died Jan 3 1936. Sam and Sarilda Newman residence in 1920 was Carter County.
