I have an Elbert Gilliam, B.1839; his bro. Wm. Gilliam, B.1829 - both in Va. The two were sons of Wm. G. Gilliam B. 1787 in Buckingham Cnty, Va. and Nancy (?) B. 1794 in N.C. Elbert & Wm.'s siblings were: Lennis, Henry, Polly, Martin, Elizabeth, Thomas, Campbell, Sally & Nancy. Don't know if any of them ever lived in Carter Cnty.
