My grandfather was Stanley Thomas Brooks, I think his father's name was William and we think Stanley had a sister Elizabeth. Stanley and his sister were placed in an orphanage in McDowell county N.C. following a murder of some sort involving their father and they changed their last name from Haney to Brooks. Stanley was married to Bettie Mae Gilstrap and they lived in Pickens, South Carolina. If you have any information, please let me know. Thanks, Robin
