According to what you have written, about Hites Creek, this would have been just North, about a mile, outside of Yosemite, East of Middleburg. The only thing seperating Yosemite and Middleburg is Tillford Creek. A bridge goes over it now. This creek dumps into the Green River. Both the Yosemite and Middleburg Post Offices are within 2 miles of one another. Middleburg was established before Yosemite was. Yosemite use to be a booming little township. It once had a saloon, hotel, train station that went to Eubank, and much more. I would suggest getting in contact with The Casey County Public Library and see if they still have any copies of the book: "Casey County, Kentucky 1806 - 1983." This is a phenomenal resource to have when doing family research. It has township history along with cemetary indexes for each township. Hope all this helps.
