He applied for pension 3 Sept 1832, age 71 on 25 Feb. He was born 25 Feb 1761 in Carolina Co. Va. drafted and entered military for 6 mo. in 1781 in Chatham Co. NC. Moved to Christian Co KY about 1808.

Meacham's History of Christian Co. says that John and Joseph Meacham came to Ky prior to 1800 and located in northeastern Chris. Co. known as Wilson Precinct.
