Is anyone researching the John Young found in Hopkinsville, Christian Co. in 1810 with a family of 5? There is a family tree on ancestry that claims my ancestor, John K. Young, was his son. According to this tree, there was a daughter Elizabeth who married Ellis Campbell.

My first sighting of John K. is in 1840 Ripley Co. MO. Our family information is that he was born in 1808, Christian Co. KY, married Nancy Clark in 1832, had 4 children, Matthew, William Jasper, Thomas F. and Calvin; Nancy died in 1840 a week after Calvin's death at about a week old. John K. remarried in 1841 to Nancy Stalcup and they had 3 children, Elizabeth, Mary Ellen and my gg-grandfather, Preston J. Young. Nancy #2 died from cholera in 1850. John K. died in 1855 and a neighbor took the younger children to Arkansas. I have not been able to positively identify the older children anywhere after 1850.

Would love to be able to compare notes with you, if this is your family, too.
