I recently found my great grandfather's private journal from the year 1900 in a box in my grandmother's attic. This journal lists approximately 200 people with whom my great grandfather came into contact as a minister, small businessman, and traveler. I've transcribed it and have indexed it and am happy to send it on to anyone who would like to have a copy of it as long as I can send it by email as an attachment.
There is no charge for this -- after all of the help others have given me on the Clark and Estill County boards, this is the least I can do. My great grandfather was William F. Clemons -- born 1863, died 1904. The only thing I ask is that if you see errors in the journal or know information about some of the people he met or saw, let me know.
This journal doesn't reveal much about his thoughts -- but he does a good job of documenting what he did, who he saw, where he went, and what the weather was like.
I hope you enjoy it.
