BROWN Y-DNA STUDY AT FAMILY TREE DNA

Posted: 8 Sep 2013 2:42PM GMT
Classification: Query
Surnames: BROWN
Many of you know I have been researching the Michael Brown (born about 1808 TN - died 1858 Clinton Co., KY) and Elizabeth (Shelton) Brown line for a long time. There are several other Brown lines in the Clinton Co., KY area that may be relateed so it is great news that there is a BROWN Family Y-DNA study underway through Family Tree DNA. (This is not the same company as Ancestry.com.) Although there are several DNA tests available for both females and males this one is strictly for direct Brown male descendants of a Brown line. The Y-DNA is passed intact from father to son though the generations. Y-DNA is never passed from father to daughter or mother to son.

If you are interested in this study or in the Michael Brwon line please contact me. I will be glad to help.
