Elliott County to Wisconsin mass migration. MANY NAMES

Surnames: Green,
I was born in "Little Kentucky" city of Crandon, Forest County, Wisconsin. If you lost some relatives that left KY in the 1800's that's where you need to look. There was the first settlement in northern Wisconsin in Langlade County. Some of those people's kin are still there. They then moved up to Forest County. The Crandon phone book reads like an Elliot County directory. I can only assume this migration had something to do with the sides these folks took during the Civil War because of the timing and the disconnection that was created by it. Happy family hunting. My family was Green in KY. SueLynnWoods
