Hello Larry, Regarding the ESTES book by Floyd Ratz, I want to advise you that though he was a reliable source, he made a huge mistake in his research!! As he was listing the various descendants of our ELISHA ESTES b 1752, he came to my great grandfather, JAMES ANNISON STEWART and family in the 1900 federal census....he listed all of the children, EXCEPT!! he failed to list my grandfather ALBERT STEWART b 1880!! He listed Albert's brothers in perfect order, including his next older sib, Lidda, and then Floyd skipped over my grandfather ALBERT and listed of course all of Albert's immediate family and descendants were left out of the book......I find it amazing that such a gap could result, as he was reported to be such a efficient researcher. I am wondering if there were any other goofs.......
