Hello Franklin researchers,
Just ran across something that makes me wonder. I've been researching Stephen Franklin who came to Fayette County early abt 1790 (on tax list). He died 1835 in Anderson County after it was formed. What I'm inquiring about is anyone who knows anything about the James or John Franklin that was in Fayette and also on the early tax lists. I can only assume they knew each other in some fashion. I recently ran across a listing of minutes of David's Fork Baptist Church and it mentions Stephen, his wife Betty (Elizabeth), their daughter Polly. It also mentions a James. Just wondering who he was. Anyone have any knowledge of either James or John? Thanks so much.
