Ewing, Fleming Co., KY
I am searching for information on John H. Stockdale who died abt 1915 in or around Ewing, KY. John married Mary V. Hess b:1878, and they had a daughter named Lorena Stockdale b:4 Aug 1900. It is not known if John H. or Mary had siblings but probably would have had cousins, etc. John and Mary took care of 2 orphened children after Lorena was born and prior to John's death, a boy and a girl. The girl's name was Jane "Janie" Parker and I do not know the boys
name. I believe Janie died in 1960's as I remember Lorena going back to Ewing every summer to visit Janie there.

Lorena Stockdale was my husband's mother. It seems after John H. died Mary and Lorena moved to Arcadia, DeSoto Co., FL where Lorena completed high school and later married Tillmon Hopson Morgan b:1898 d:1998, 4 mos short of 100 yrs old. If John had only 1 child, Lorena, 1900, he must have been born abt 1875. Maybe a brother, cousin of your family?
