Looking for additional information on the family of Alexander MITCHELL. He was born 1762 in County Cork, (Near Dublin), Ireland; died 16 May 1856 in Hendricks Co., IN. He married Mary RHEA. She was also born in Ireland. Their families came to America on the same ship when they were small children and they settled in PA. Alexander and Mary later moved to KY and then moved on to IN with their son, Hiram. Some of their children remained in KY.

i. James Mitchell, married Anah GREEN 15 October 1811 in Bath Co., KY. (Note: Her name may be Onah instead of Ahah. James MITCHELL and William RAY (RHEA?) Bondsmen. Alexander MITCHELL gave consent. Another source has the date of marriage listed as 17 Sept 1811.)
ii. Jenna MITCHELL, married Goldsberry GREEN 07 September 1811.
iii. Samuel J. MITCHELL , Sr., born Abt. 1788 in VA; died 1872 in Nicholas Co., KY; married Nancy FLORA 19 April 1811 in Bath Co., KY. (Note: Samuel MITCHELL Sr. and wife, Nancy FLORA (FLOROUGH), are buried in an old graveyard on a cliff above the Licking River, near Parks' Ferry, Nicholas County, Kentucky. Their graves are marked by field stones with their initials and dates of birth and death carved on them. Several of their descendants are buried in the same graveyard. Bath County Marriage Bonds: Samuel Mitchell to Nancy FLOROUGH (FLORA), April 18, 1811; Samuel MITCHELL and Benjamin HEATON, bondsman.
