Howard M. Simpson, 53, of Holland Township, N. J., formerly of Grant County, Ky., died January 27, 2000 at his home. He was born in Grant County, a son of the late Paul and Margaret Coleman Simpson. He was a member of Clinton Baptist Church in Clinton, N. J., and an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Simpson in 1999. Survivors are his wife, Lois Bearden Simpson; one son, Kendall Simpson of Webster City, Iowa; one daughter, Tonja Bogart of Raleigh, N. C.; nine brothers, Lee Roy Simpson of Dry Ridge, Glenn Simpson of Morristown, Ind., William Simpson of Crittenden, Virgil Simpson of Nashville, Ga., Freddie Simpson of Kaufman, Texas, David Simpson of Highland Heights, and Larry Simpson of Williamstown; and five sisters, Mildred Long of Milford Ohio, Betty Goble of Loveland, Ohio, Rose Keene of Greenwood, Ind., Joyce Miller of Crittenden, and Margie Harris of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; and two grandchildren. Burial was in Union Cemetery in Clinton.
