Hazel M. Woodard, Summersville, daughter of the late Charlie Whitlow and Pearl Bradshaw Whitlow, was born June 13, 1930 in Green County and departed this life Saturday, June 20 at Golden LivingCenter-Green Hill in Greensburg. Woodard made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Allendale Missionary Baptist Church. She was a lifelong farmer and a homemaker. Woodard united in marriage to Carsie Lee Woodard Sept. 12, 1963, who preceded her in death May 7, 1993. Survivors include a host of cousins, Phyllis and Hubert Wright, Rebecca Lobb, Cynthia Akin, Nina Scott, Jeff Wright, Clayton Wright and Laura Hedgespeth; special neighbors, Bobby and Bonnie French; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 23, 2009 at Cowherd & Parrott Funeral Home in Greensburg by Bro. Tom Downey, Bro. Dwayne Dobson and Bro. Kenny Lee, with burial in Bell Cemetery. Pallbearers: Joe Downey, Finis Berry, Josh Berry, Jimmy Russell, Bobby Patton and Morris Milby. Condolences: cowherdandparrott.com.
