Allen, Bradley& Gilbert, Louisville, Ky. 1872, Reprtinted 1967 by the Green Co. Historical Society. p. 377. "Manoah Lasley, of the Methodist Church, was authorized by the Green Co. Cout to solemnize the rites of matrimony, Feb., 1979. He was a pious and useful man in the community, lived to a very advanced age, having married a second time at the age of sevety-five years. His son, Thomas Lasley, was also a Methodist minister of some note as early as 1809, and was authorized to solemnize matrimony in 1810."
