I am searching for any information that can be found about my greatXgrandfather, Greenberry "Berry" Brown. He was born in about 1794 and joined the War of 1812 under Col. Samuel Bunch's Regiment in East Tennessee on Jan 10 1814; he deserted on Mar 4 1814. He is listed in this record as being a full-blood Cherokee. I am descended from his son, David, born in 1823 in Magoffin County. Until recently, I did not know of any other children. In the 1850 census under the 1st District in Greenup County, Berry is listed as a Mulatto and as having the following kids (all were born in Kentucky): Joseph - age 21 (born abt 1829); Jane - age 18 (born abt 1832); Rhonda - age 16 (born abt 1834); John - age 14 (born abt 1836); William - age 12 (born about 1838); living with them was one William Conley, age 22. I have no idea who Berry's wife's name was. I also have no idea where Berry was born, or when and where he died. Information on the children of David Brown (1823-1907) and his wife Izana Pitts can be found at my website. I am seeking **any** and **all** information on Berry Brown and his descendants.
