Oops - a reply to my own post. One of the two dates is incorrect, either that of the date of Mary's application for a widow's pension or that of the death date of Mathias. If he died in 1913 she would not have applied for a widow's pension in 1910. In some cases the writing on these documents was faded, or I may have misread it. If anyone else has the correct dates, perhaps they could clear this up. Thanks, Pam
