Re: RISINGER SMITH ARNOLD adding MILLS to the mix

Classification: Query
Surnames: Riesinger, Mills, Smith, Alfred, Green, Heffner, Jelton, Denton, Johnson,Harris,
Not sure if it all adds up or not.
But here goes:
John MILLS B: ca1733 of Sussex Co NJ USA married Rebecca SMITH daughter of Joseph SMITH and Rachel ALFrED. They were rremoved to the enemy lines 1793 as John was a loyalist to the King and Country. Did not agree with the colonists.

They settled in Grimsby, Ontario, Canada. And lived on and are buried there.

John's descendant did a DNA test and match on markers to my MILLS desendant.
Our MILLS were of Dayton Montgomery Co OHio.
My grandparents, George Washington MILLS B: 1857 Montgomery Co OH and Grace E GREEN.

George was son of ELias MILLS and Julia Ann HEFFNER.
They had son
Edward Jelton MILLS B: 1867 Preble County, Ohio.

Edward married a Nettie RIESINGER B: ca Feb 1874 Ohio.

I do NOt have parent names for Nettie.

Also by coincidence a descendant of a Samuel MILLS D: 1822 of Jefferson Co KY did a DNA test and also match on markers to my MILLS descendant.

It would appear that our MILLS lines go back to Samuel MILLS and Sarah DENTON of Essex Co NJ.

Along those lines a JOHNSON/HARRIS descendant did a DNA test and seems to match on DNA markers to my MILLS descendant, per the FTDNA info desk.

In that they share a Common Ancestor, x number of generations distance.

I cannot check to see how distant we are, as the web site, wwww.ysearch.org has been down for security maintenance.

It would seem that we are more or less related to one another by our respective inter related ancestors.
