I just Googled the Jefferson Woodworking Company because, as I was taking the leaf out of my 1945 dining room table, I noticed the stamp (I never noticed it before) "Jefferson Woodworking Company, Louisville, Kentucky...The Table Slide." I assume the table slide refers to the mechanism that allows for adding/removing the leaf. Did your family invent this 'slide' including the lever under the table that locks/unlocks the leaf? This table is still so beautiful. I have the whole set...table, six chairs, buffet, and hutch. Did your family manufacture all the pieces?
