Deborah Sanders Coleman, 52, of Kettering, OH went to be with the Lord on January 10, 2011 at Miami Valley Hospital after a long struggle with complications arising from liver disease. Debbi was born October 20, 1958, in Louisville, KY and grew up near Corydon, IN, the daughter of Ray and Elva Sanders. She graduated from North Harrison High School and went on to receive her Bachelor and Master's degree in Criminology from Indiana State University. She married Adam J. Coleman in 1982, and they have resided in Kettering since 1985. Debbi spent most of their 28 years together as a mother and homemaker, but also worked several years as a social worker for Greene County Children's Services and Senior Resource Connection, and was a licensed real estate agent. Debbi was a member of Fairhaven Church, Centerville, OH and especially enjoyed her participation in youth and children's ministries until prevented by declining health. Her hobbies included clowning, writing, and cooking. Debbi wrote dozens of skits and was working on a novel and other stories. She was a wonderful cook, including southern country recipes she learned from her mother as well as contemporary fare. She especially enjoyed meeting new people and had a gift for getting even casual acquaintances to open up to her. In addition to her husband Adam, Debbi is survived by her four children, Courtney, 25, Dane, 23, Audrey, 17, and Seth, 14, and her sister, Beth Plourde and her husband Don, of Jeffersonville, IN. Deb is also survived by nieces Jacquie Foltz and Jennifer Henry, nephews Stephen Henry, and Gavin and Kai Coleman, and brothers and sisters in law, Stephanie and Jim Fish, Nathan and Carol Coleman, and Matthew and Jean Coleman. Friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, January 14, 2011 at the Tobias Funeral Home Far Hills Chapel, 5471 Far Hills Ave. at Rahn Rd. Funeral service 10:00 a.m. January 15, 2011 at the funeral home. Pastor Ted Zabel officiating. Interment Woodland Cemetery, Dayton, OH.
