There is a privately owned farm in the High Bridge, KY area that has three graves marked with "field stones". One of them is Emite/Emmett Taylor (my Great-Grandfather) I was told about this. I would like to know if someone could find the exact location, or the name of the current land owner. Or notify me of the dates or take and post a picture. Apparently this was probably the "home place" land where my Father's family lived. The house burned and the only thing that was saved was the Family Bible.
I know that I am asking a lot, so what ever help you can give will be greatly appreciated.
You may Email me directly if you wish.

Thanking you in advance.

I know the exact location of the old Taylor cemetery. It is located appx 20 miles South of Lexington,Ky in Jessamine Co two and one-half miles South of Wilmore,Ky on highway 29. The farm once belonged to my grandfather Wess Houp who had a corn field next to the grave yard. There are no marked headstones, only rocks marking the approximately ten graves. It is still known as the Taylor tract of land and there are relatives living around Wilmore and Keene, namely the Yates, Prentice, Baker, and Meade families. The cemetery is adjacent to William ( Billy ) Carson's farm near the old railroad right of way between his property line and the clifts of the Kentucky River. The Jesssamine Co Historical Society recently visited the site and Ernestine Hamm took pictures of the area.

hey there. i am attempting yet again to break through my brick wall, with ancestor wm. hicks, b. 1790 in ky. he shows up in jackson, al 1840 census, but must have died before 1850 when wife, rutha, tn, b. 1796 is listed as head of household. it appears there are only four ky counties that are plausible birthplaces for wm, and jessamine looks the most promising. i am curious to know if your info would go back far enough to have any documentation from the early 1800s, and is searching for the hicks surname, without any idea of a given name is a possibility. thanks in advance for your time and consideration. yours, deb

Do you still do cemetery look-ups? It has been years since you posted this but I though I would try.
