My Theresa Federle (1893-1974) married the George Exterkamp (1895-1950). I found a 1900 census for Ben Exterkamp, born about 1855. This must be the early ancestor you are referring to. Also on the census were his wife Amelia, daus. Mary & Margaret, and sons Bennie, George & Henry. I can follow Bennie pretty well through the census years, but don't do so well with George & Theresa.

At the 1920 census George & Theresa were living in Cincinnati with near her mother, Kate Federle, brother George, and sister Kate Weigel & her husband William Weigel. Ultimately the Federles & Weigels moved to Kenton Co. along with the Exterkamps. I found the death record for all these plus their graves. It's just that I don't really know anything about George's family.

I was born in Kenton Co. in 1940, and my godfather was Eddie Exterkamp. I don't ever remember meeting him nor do I have a clue as to where in the Exterkamp family he belongs. From what I can see Theresa's only son was Thomas C. Exterkamp. Thanks for helping me find George's father. There are quite a few Exterkamps in KY in the early 1900's and I have been so confused.
