"William L. Campbell and his family migrated from Chatham Co, NC to Knox Co, KY about 1800".
A quote from previous post here in Knox Co., KY.
May I sugest to all WILLIAM CAMPBELL researchers from VA, NC, into lands of Kentucky as the State was being formed from its 3 territory's in varous Counties such as Knox, Clay, Bell, etc. that there are CAMPBELL's from living in KY who migrated into locations of MISSOURI in the early 1830's There are so many unidentified WILLIAM CAMPBELL's that migrated into KY about 1800 era, and then migrated again and again, especially some of their CAMPBELL children who married into other familes surnames, that each of you may want to look into Posts made of CAMPBELL's in locations such as: http://boards.ancestry.com/localities.northam.usa.states.mis...
Perhaps many of these WILLIAM CAMPBELL or LEVI CAMPBELL families are blood related, and can fill in some of the ancestry, if the posts are correct data about CAMPBELL's from KY & NC or VA.
Hope this helps!
