Rev. Bufford Lake

Rev. Bufford LAKE, 75, of Barbourville, passed away Saturday, October 10, 1998 in the Jellico Community Hospital in Jellico, Tenn. He was the son of the late Homer Scott and Willa Mae PENLAND LAKE and the widower of Rema DAVIS LAKE.

Rev. Lake was a retired sawmill operator.

Survivors include two sons, Larry LAKE of Dalton, Ga. and Jeffrey Len LAKE of Crossville, Tenn.; one brother, Chalmer LAKE of Lima, Ohio; two sisters, Wathine STAUFFER and Jane; and two grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at the Locust Grove Baptist Church on Goldens Creek Monday, October 12 at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Mike Brooks officiating. Burial followed in the Croley Cemetery on Little Popular Creek. Croley Funeral Home in Williamsburg was in charge of arrangements.
