Mitchell BUTLER, 81, of Magnolia, died Friday, May 21, 1999, at her residence. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Hart County. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie BUTLER, in 1973, her parents; and four sisters. Survivors include two daughters, Charlene HICKS and Helen BROOKS, both of Buffalo; two sons, Lewis BUTLER of Mt. Sherman and Charles BUTLER of Buffalo; a stepdaughter, Frances NIX of Elizabethtown; two stepsons, Kenneth BUTLER of Upton and Eugene BUTLER of Elizabethtown; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; 14 stepgrandchildren; several stepgreat-grandchildren; and four sisters, Cora PULLEN of Elizabethtown, Ola COMPTON of Bonnieville, Charlotte PHILPOTT of Horse Cave and Betty BEELER of Hodgenville. The funeral is 2 p.m. Monday at Dixon-Rogers Funeral Home in Magnolia, with the Rev. Earl SANDERS officiating. Burial in Sonora Cemetery. Visitation is after 1 p.m. today at the funeral home.
