A great aunt told me that Melvin died in Washington.
I managed to trace Melvin to Seattle, WA in 1963. He apparently was indigent. He died June 25, 1963 in the King County Hospital as “a Death in Emergency”. The Coroners record stated that “he had been working the past three days for Goodwill when he collapsed. He had been treated for a heart condition the past three years and cause of death was/is Cardiac Tamponade, rupture aneurism of ascending aorta”. His funeral was paid for by Welfare.
Have you heard anything about Peter Huss yet? I am still looking for him.
Melvin was/is my mother's first cousin. He also spent time in the Colorado State Pen.
