Glen Amburgy 84 of Xenia, Ohio died Sunday January 8, 2012 at the Greene Memorial Hospital in Xenia. Glen was born in Lee County, Ky, September 10, 1927, the son of Daily and Maggie Kilburn Amburgy. He worked for 35 years at General Motors in Dayton, he was a 32 Degree Mason of the Beavercreek Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite in Dayton, and served his country in the Army stationed in Japan and Korea during WW II. Glen is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Betty, a son, Michael (Frances) Amburgy, a daughter, Dianna (Michael) Shaffer, and 6 grandchildren, Angie (Michael) Owens, Melanie (Robert) Burrows, Monica (Dennis) Sexton, Michelle (Ty) Mills Jaclyn (Aaron) Howard and Lindsay (Tony) Jenkins, also 19 great grandchildren and loyal constant companion, Rusty. Funeral services will be January 12, 2012 at 1:00 pm at the Anderson Funeral Home 40 N. Main St. Springboro. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am. Condolences may be made to the family at www.anderson-fh.com. Glen’s family sincerely thanks the ICU dept. at Greene Memorial Hospital for their care and compassion.
