Frank Smith, 77, of Kuttawa, died Monday, Aug. 31, 2009, at 4:55 p.m. at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah.
A Korean veteran, he was a son of the late Walter W. Smith and Reba Fralix Hastings.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Violet Adkins Smith on June 20, 2008; a sister, Lila R. Smith; and a grandson, Aaron Enochs.
Survivors include two sons, David Smith of Kuttawa and Tim Smith of Paducah; two daughters, Cheryl Gortney of Huntington, W.V., and Susan Enochs of Kuttawa; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a brother, Jack Smith of Shipman, Ill.; four half-brothers, Bud Hastings and James Hastings, both of Eddyville, Eddy Hastings of Ohio, and Bill Hastings of Kuttawa; and six sisters, Lillie Chandler of S. Roxanna, Ill., Inez Blaine of Grand Rivers, Ann Barnes of Eddyville, Ruth Imes of Prophetstown, Ill., Janie Odom of Dycusburg and Marie Penn of Marion.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, Sept. 3, at 11 a.m. at Dunn’s Funeral Home in Eddyville.
The Rev. Harold Hatfield will officiate the service.
Burial will follow in Glenn’s Chapel Cemetery. (Lyon Co., Ky.)
Visitation will be after 5 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home
