Gerald Peek, 70, of Kuttawa, died Friday, March 15, 2013, at Baptist Health Hospital in Paducah.
A son of the late Tommy Randolph and Eula Bell Dalton Peek, he was a retired heavy equipment operator for U.S. Steel Company in Gary, Ind., with 30 years service, was a member of the Paducah American Legion and the Fraternal Order of Eagles #3135 in Paducah, and was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a member of Jordan Baptist Church in Portage, Ind.
He was preceded in death y three brothers, Tony Peek, Joe Ellis Peek and Gene Peek.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Mary Driver Peek; two sons and daughters-in-law, Tim and Debbie Peek of Eddyville and Tom and Patty Peek of Kuttawa; a daughter, Marie Peek of Clarksville, Tenn.; 10 grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Marshall and Norma Peek of Kuttawa; a half-brother, Clyde East of Princeton; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, March 19, at 11 a.m. at Lakeland Funeral Home Chapel in Eddyville with the Rev. Lonnie Knight and the Rev. James Driver officiating.
Burial will follow in Hebron Cemetery in Lyon County.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
