Hazel Croft Mayes, 76, of Eddyville, died Sunday, March 31, 2013, at 4:25 a.m. at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah.
A daughter of the late Charles “Charlie” and Virginia Parrish Croft, she was a former secretary for Kentucky Asphalt in Kuttawa and retired with over 20 years service as secretary for Southern States Asphalt, a division of Ashland Oil in Kuttawa. She was a member of Eddyville First Baptist Church in Eddyville.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Lee Mayes.
Survivors include two daughters, Cindy Thweatt Breedlove of Eddyville and Vicki Bynum of Lyon County; a son, Ricky Mayes of Henderson; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two brothers, Conley Croft of Eddyville and Billy Croft of Calvert City; a sister, Martha Wilson of Eddyville; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, April 3, at 11 a.m. at Lakeland Funeral Home Chapel in Eddyville with the Rev. Tim Perdue officiating.
Burial will follow in Rolling Hills Cemetery in Eddyville.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
