Dorothy Gray Monday, 85, of Cadiz, died at 10:20 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2013, at Spring Creek Healthcare in Murray, following a long illness.
Born March 9, 1928, in Lyon County, a daughter of the late R.C. and Geneva Evelyn Lady Gray, she was a member of Trigg County Baptist Church and was a retired florist.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Monday, on April 29, 1996; a stepson, Jimmy Monday; a stepdaughter, Frances Gann; a grandchild, Macaela Duncan; a sister, Charlene Gray; and a brother, Leonard Hylan Gray.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Collis and Phyllis Duncan of Benton, and Jackie and Helen Duncan of Hopkinsville; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Carney Gray of Eddyville.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, Oct. 6, at 2 p.m., at Dunn’s Funeral Home in Eddyville, with the Rev. John Mitchell officiating.
Burial will follow in Rolling Hills Cemetery in Eddyville.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, at Goodwin Funeral Home in Cadiz, and from
noon to the funeral hour Sunday at Dunn’s Funeral Home in Eddyville.
Goodwin Funeral Home in Cadiz is in charge of arrangements for Mrs. Monday.
