Is there someone on the list with information about the taking of the gun powder to the forts by George Rogers Clark on Dec 24, 1776. They landed on Limestone Creek, buried the powder, and the Indians attacked. There were 9 guards, some were killed, some were captured by Indians. I am trying to ascertain that John Gabriel Jones was killed and not captured by Indians at any time. We are marking the grave of Josiah Dickson, one of the guards this weekend.
