Hi, I have hit a brick wall looking for my gggrandfathers family. His vitals are born 6 Oct 1825 and Died 5 Jan 1895 in Dallas County Iowa, is buried at East Linn Cemetery,in Dallas County. He was married to Lucinda Jones born 1 Jul 1834 and died 5 Sep 1907. Records show they were born in Ohio, but searching I found Cottons in Kentucky, Ohio County. In 1860 they are in Indiana. Porter Co. He served From Feb 1865 to Sept 1865 in the Civil War Union. This is the first place we have found Eli. But can trace Lucindas family back to her grand parents on her mothers side.
