GODFREY WHITE TAYLOR s/o Rev. James and Sallie Taylor of Hardinsburg, Ky., born June 4, 1818; died Hartford, Ky., Feb. 7, 1860; joined MECS Feb. 12, 1853.

MARY ANN GRIFFIN daughter of William and Maria Eidson, born Hartford, Ky., April 25, 1833; died September 1890; married (1) Godfrey W. Taylor (died Feb. 1860), May 5, 1852; (2) Z. Wayne Griffin (died May 22, 1885), October 1867.

MARTHA SHOTWELL CROW d/o E. Martin and Fannie E. Crow, died Hartford, Ky., Feb. 27, 1860 aged 9 months, 21 days.

ANDREW BASCOM CUNDIFF son Rev. B. A. Cundiff, Louisville Conf., born Scottsville, Ky. Nov. 28, 1858; drowned in Rough Creek nr. Hartford, Ky. June 24, 1875.

BURCHIE BARRETT d/o William S. Barrett b Hartford, Ky., Sept. 11, 1845; d Jan. 1, 1871; her mother died when she was eight years old.

LEWIS REDFORD BENNETT s/o Joseph A. and M. A. Bennett, b Hartford, Ky. May 8, 1870; d March 10, 1871.

CLAUDE C. MOSELEY d Hartford, Ky., Aug. 28, 1870, aged 11 years, l month.

ANNIE LAURIE MOSELEY d Hartford, Ky., Sept. 2, 1870, aged 3 years, 6 months.

(These two Moseley children were children of R. S. and Jennie Moseley.)

JOSEPHINE A. BARNES w/o Weaver Barnes b Aug. 3, 1831; d Ohio Co., Ky., Aug. 30, 1870, consumptive.

VIVIAN DANIEL died Hardinsburg, Ky., March 16, 1890 aged 92 years, 13 days old; born in Clark Co., Ky. and moved to Breckinridge Co., Ky. in 1801 where he ever afterwards lived; married Vitula McCreery daughter of Dr. Charles McCreery, Hartford, Ky.; 9 children; joined Methodist Church in July 1839.

Ky. Nov. 22, 1853; md Sept. 30, 1873; died Hartford, Ky. June 7, 1876.

Rev. JOHN PHIPPS son William and Henrietta Phipps, born Maryland, June 28, 1792; entered Methodist ministry in early life; died Hartford, Ky. July 20, 1876.

HARRIET C. FROGGE born Fentress Co., Tenn., July 5, 1825; md Rev. T. C. Frogge, Jan. 7, 1847; died Hartford, Ky., Sept. 6, 1854.

SARAH ANN PHIPPS youngest d/o Rev. John and Ann Phipps born Hartford, Ky. Jan. 8, 1837; died Sept. 5, 1854.

VITULA DANIEL daughter of Dr. Charles McCreery, born Hartford, Ky., Dec. 3, 1815; died Hardinsburg, Ky., Dec. 7, 1897; married Vivian Daniel of Hardinsburg, Sept. 27, 1836; 9 children.

FANNIE H. THOMAS w/o Peter Thomas and mother of Rev. V. P. Thomas of Louisville Conference, b Hartford, Ohio Co., Ky., 1818; d Aug. 28, 1869; md 1840.

PETER THOMAS born Henrico Co., Va., January 10, 1812; died Nov. 15, 1890; moved to Ohio Co., Ky. in 1827; married (1) Martha B. Ballentine (died May 14, 1840), near Nashville, Tenn., July 23, 1834; (2) Fannie H. Peyton (died August 1869), Dec. 23, 1840; a son, the Rev. V. P. Thomas, Louisville Methodist Conference; (3) Nellie T. Fitzhugh, Nov. 1, 1871; became resident of Bowling Green, Ky. in 1846.

SUSAN PEYTON d/o Hon. Samuel D. and Mary Peyton, born Hartford Co., Ky., Dec. 13, 1843; died April 13, 1860; joined MECS 1858.

CHARLES J. LAWTON born Campbell Co., Virginia, November 22, 1807; parents moved to Kentucky when he was ten years old and in December 1831 he settled in Hartford, Ky. where he lived until his died July 25, 1884; an officer of the circuit court for many years; postmaster of the town; died in 1884.

JOHN PIRTLE s/o Rev. John Pirtle, dec., brother of Hon. Judge Pirtle and late Rev. C. Pirtle, Louisville, Ky., born Washington Co., Ky. Ju1y 6, 1804; married (1) Clarissa B. Roberts June 1831 and had 4 sons and 3 daus; one of his sons, F. W. Pirtle, a member of the board of stewards, Hartford Circuit; married (2) Mrs. Sallie A. Sublett, August 26, 1846 and had 3 daus. and 2 sons. Died Ohio County, Kentucky, September 7, 1876.

SARAH A. WILLIAMS b Hartford, Ky., April 15, 1838; d Calhoun, Ky., June 26, 1871; left widower and two children.

SALLIE GRIDER d/o John and Anna Grider Chapeze b Feb. 17, 1866; d May 22, 1870, Hartford, Kentucky.

JEREMIAH CORNWELL, born Hartford Co.; Ky.; died Independence Co., Ark., April 18, 1847 in the 53rd year of his age; husband and father (4 children).

Resolutions of respect for memory of Rev. T. V. JOINER who died Hartford, Ky., Jan. 22, 1913 aged 58 years; by his congregation [unnamed]; undated; and another set of resolutions by the official board of Methodist Church, Russellville, Ky., dated January 28, 1913.

THOMPSON MITCHELL born Jefferson Co., Ky., July 3, 1819; died near Hartford, Ky., Sept. 19, 1885.

MARY B. NORTON, nee Davis, born Hartford, Ky., June 25, 1850; married Robert Norton, Dec. 14, 1881; 2 children; died recently.

JOHN BURNES born Ohio County, Kentucky, 1802; died October 14, 1894.

JULIA A. BEAN born Ohio Co., Ky. Feb. 5, 1830; died there, Jan. 1, 1874; md Thomas H. Bean, Nov. 14, 1859; surviving, husband and one son.

Mrs. CHARLOTTE BELT born April 30, 1778, Montgomery Co., Maryland; died Feb. 8, 1874; parents, Richard and Lydia Stevens, were members of Episcopal Church; had a surviving brother, Henry Stevens; moved with widowed mother and family, in 1802, to Ky., settling in Ohio County; md Higgenson Belt in 1805; he died in 1856; some interesting details are given in this obituary.

JOHN McCORMICK born Va., on banks of Potomac River, Oct. 1, 1776; died Ohio Co., Ky., August 30, 1853; md Elizabeth Cundiff of Prince William Co., Va., Nov. 9, 1797 who died Jan. 28, 1853; moved to Nelson Co., Ky., 1803; then in 2 years moved to Ohio County where he lived and later died.

MARY JANE LEE born March 23, 1813, Ohio Co., Ky.; married N. P. Stevens, March 17, 1833; her husband died May 18, 1839 leaving her with 2 small children; she married Tolbert Lee, October 17, 1852; died March 11, 1877.

ELIZABETH DAVISON died October 24, 1883 aged 72 years in the residence of her son-in-law, Henry R. Dean. Three children, Edward of Ohio County; Samuel D., Breckinridge County; Mrs. Margaret Ann Dean

Mrs. HESTER ANN GRISSOM died Daviess Co., Ky. Oct. 26, 1875; born Ohio Co., Ky. July 17, 1818; raised by grandfather, Rev. Thomas Taylor and wife.
