Earl Deaton, Age 85, of Oxford, OH died November 20, 2008 in Fort Hamilton Hospital. He was born in Buckhorn, KY on August 31, 1923, the son of Fletcher and Carrie (Napier) Deaton. He was a career veteran of the U. S. Air Force retiring as a member of the Strategic Air Force Command. He married Shirley Bowling on January 11, 1952 in Liberty, IN. He was a member of Washington Lodge #17, F&AM, a Kentucky Colonel and a buyer and trader of cattle for many years. He is survived by his wife, Shirley; two daughters, Vickie Lynn Stine and husband, Richard of Hamilton, OH and Robbin Krauser and husband, Mike of West Chester, OH; two sons, Earl Deaton, Jr. and wife, Renee of Fairfield and Billy Joe Deaton and wife, Mary of Westport, IN; eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Dan. Funeral services will be held November 22, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Weigel Funeral Home, 980 N. W. Washington Blvd. with Chaplain Dennis Betts officiating. Burial will be in Reily Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to the time of the service.
