Trying to find any information on my Yocum line. My grandfather was Andrew Jackson Yocum, b. Powell Co., KY, Mar 1883. He married Amy Jane Logan, d/o of John Logan.

Andrew's father was Francis M. Yocum, who m. Elizabeth Ann French, d/o of John French & Sarah McLaughlin.

Francis M. father was John M. Yocum, b. 1826 in Montgomery Co., KY. John M. m. Mary Jane Hudson.

John Yocum's father was William M. Yocum, b. 1800, Montgomery Co., KY. He m. Mariah Thatcher, b. Bourbon Co., KY.

William M.'s father was Francis M. b 1774 in ???? Francis M. married Sarah Reed b. 1775 in ???

This line is extremely difficult to follow as the same names (both first and middle) were passed down from generation to generation. I believe that the Yocum's came from PA to KY via VA.

My grandfather, Andrew, moved his family to northern WI in 1918. Of the 9 children born to Andrew and Amy, 8 lived to adulthood. The first 5 children were born in Powell Co., the last 4 were b. in Forest Co., WI, where the family still resides.

Any info on the early Yocum's would be appreciated
