Funeral services for Miss Lois M. Collins, 13 years of age, were held Sunday, April 28th, at the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church with the Rev. W. M. Peace in charge. Burial was in the church cemetery. Miss Collins died at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Collins, White Rose, Ky., on Saturday, April 27th, following an illness of two weeks. Death was attributed to pneumonia. Surviving besides the parents, two brothers and one sister. Pallbearers were H. Hash, Pearl Hash, J. E. DeWitt, C. K. Hash, O. V. DeWitt, and W. H. Morris. Flower girls were Misses Nancy Campbell, Katherine Wright, Thelma Wright, Frances Hedgespeth, Marie Wright, and Lovelace Montgomery. She professed faith in Christ in July 1937, and united with the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church where she remained a faithful member.
