Mr. Charles N. Whitney died last Friday at his home at Coburg. Mr. Whitney was born in Allen County October 16th, 1897. He professed faith in Christ in April 1913 and joined the Baptist church in this city, during the ministry of Rev. R. F. Jaudon and lived a consistent member. He was married to Mrs. Anna Biggs Jarvis April 24th, 1920, and to this union one child was born who died in infancy. Mr. Whitney was a model young man with a bright future before him. He was clean, honest and an upright gentleman. He was a member of the Masonic and Woodman orders, and also a member of the Wayfayer League of this city. The funeral service was conducted by Rev. D. P. Montgomery at the Methodist church at Coburg Sunday afternoon and the remains were laid to rest in the Griffin graveyard near Coburg. To the bereaved ones we extend our sincere sympathy.
