Mrs. Abbie Phillips, 38, died at 5:10 p.m. Monday at the home of her sister, Mrs. W.W. Brackett, near Poole.
Mrs. Phillips was postmistress at Poole until she became ill a few months ago. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star.
Survivors are the husband, Jack Phillips; two sons, Pvt. Robert L. Bradley, U.S.M.C.R., San Diego, Calif., and Eugene Ray Bradley, at home; the mother, Mrs. Mary P. Sellars, Poole; five sisters, Mrs. E.Y. Laslie, Mt. Vernon, Ind., Miss Poole Sellars, and Mrs. Katherine Berkenier of Poole, Mrs. W.W. Brackett, near Poole, Mrs. Coleman Shadrick of Tucson, Ariz.; two brothers, E.G. Sellars, just returned from four years overseas service in the Navy, and Sgt. Roger M. Sellars, APO New York.
Funeral services will be held at 3 o'clock Friday afternoon in the Methodist church in Poole. The Rev. E.Y. Laslie of Mt. Vernon, Ind., the Rev. Obie Kyle of Robards, and the Rev. D.P. Royster, of Corydon will
The body will lie in state in the church from 1 o'clock Friday afternoon until time for the funeral. Burial will be in Shady Grove cemetery, Poole. The Eastern Star will have charge of services at the grave.
