Versailles, Ky. March 23.--David Thornton Edwards, one of the most prominent lawyers of Woodford County, died at the Woodford Memorial Hospital from typhoid-pneumonia. He was 48 years old. He had been ill for several weeks from a complication of diseases, including heart trouble. Five children survive him, besides his wife, Thornton Edwards Jr., now employed in the government service in the Panama Canal Zone, Francis Edwards, Mrs. Vernon Mastin, Misses Kathleen and Macie Edwards of Versailles; three brothers, James Edwards of Bullfalo, New York, J. W. Edwards of Versailles, and Thomas Edward of the Phillippine Islans. Mr. Edwards had been Police Judge and City Attorney of Versailles. He was a nephew of D. L. Thornton, the prominent attorney of Versailles. The funeral services will be held Sunday at the residence.
