A Bold Snake

Mrs. Mary HAMMOND, of the Nortonville country, while riding along the road on Friday, January 4th, espied a large black racer snake gliding along on top of six inches of snow. She descended and chased it some distance before she could overtake and kill it. Such a thing is very unusual. (Source: Madisonville Hustler, Fri., Jan. 18, 1895)
