An Artist

Mrs. Rosa JACKSON, who taught the first colored school ever taught in Hopkins county, has in her late days turned her attention to painting and drawing. She last week brought to this office a specimen of her work, and it shows a good deal of artistic merit. (Source: Madisonville Hustler, Fri., Apr. 10, 1896)
