Surnames: Fraser, Wolfe, Montcalm
C.B. FRASER, of Trigg county, has a sword that was carried by his great-grandfather in the French and Indian war, and with which he scaled the Heights of Abraham with General WOLFE in the battle of Quebec, which was fought on the 13th of September 13, 1759, between Generals WOLFE and MONTCALM. The blade of the sword is straight and about thirty inches long, ornamented on each side, near the hilt, with the graven picture of a fox. The hilt is about six inches long and has a common steel guard. The highly prized relic is in a good state of preservation. (Source: Earlington Bee, Thur., July 28, 1898)
